Forza Motorsport Update 21: IndyCar, Champions Cup, and More

June is in full swing and Turn 10 is rolling out Update 21 for all Forza Motorsport players across consoles and PC.

Weighing in at a miniscule 1.3GB on PC, don’t let the size fool you as this latest update features some of the most comprehensive changes seen yet. Let’s dive in to Update 21 and unpack the latest changes.

Table of Contents

Forza Motorsport Update 21: IndyCar

One of the big additions for this update is the return of the IndyCar series to Forza Motorsport. America’s premier single seater series has appeared in numerous iterations since Forza Motorsport 5. The core of the Dallara DW12 chassis remains unchanged since its introduction in 2012, as well as the universal aero kit that was introduced in 2018, leading the car to be designated as IR-18.

The 2025 variants that appear in Forza Motorsport feature the Aeroscreen cockpit protection system, introduced in 2020 after driver Justin Wilson was tragically killed in 2015 by flying debris.

Two versions of the 2025 IndyCar will be available to drive from Honda and Chevrolet. Both have a 2.2-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 making between 550 and 700hp. Both cars have the road course aero as standard, but can be fitted with the oval aero in the upgrades menu. Unfortunately, the push-to-pass and new energy recovery system are not simulated.

Both cars are available to purchase at a discounted price in the Showroom right now until July 2.

Forza Motorsport Update 21: Champions Cup/Invitationals

The other major addition comes in the form of the Champions Cup. This new series of tours in Career Mode focuses purely on the racing cars available, from one-make juniors to high speed hybrid prototypes.

Previous reward cars that players may have missed out on will also return. Unlike in previous featured tours, the reward cars can be obtained regardless of your final finishing position.

Completing each of the Champions Cup Tours will unlock an Invitational. These one-off Final Showcase events also feature their own reward cars upon completion. The Champions Cup is available to play right now and is available permanently.

You can find the Champions Cup Tours and Invitationals listed below with their respective reward cars:

  • One Make Tour: BMW M1 #6 BMW Motorsport Procar ’79
